BNSF 8019 - BNSF 6975 (yes... in that order... static images can tell a much different story than reality!) in double-reverse elephant fashion at the rear of a northbound (to the right) covered hopper group motivating out of Vancouver... very slowly. Slowly enough for us to finish snapping this picture, climb in the car, drive north several country blocks in time to catch this pair again as they were just starting to pick up speed along Lake Shore Drive - in this shot, they are just departing the north yard area at the transition from Fruit Valley Road to Lake Shore Drive with the overpass (to the right of the frame). |
