| Connell Station whipped by desolate dust creating ghost town appearance - possibly closer to reality than many would like. The old station, long abandoned sits in the maze of dusty flats, the only remnants of long-since removed trackage through what at one time was an important convergence/meeting and transfer zone. Connells important to Washingtons early development no longer evident unless old railroad maps are used where the font size for Connell was often larger than Spokanes and often present when even the Tri-cities name was left off the ledger. |
