BNSF 122 and BNSF-ATSF 158
Title:  BNSF 122 and BNSF-ATSF 158
Description:  BNSF 122 and BNSF-ATSF 158 charging across the Truckee River just west of Mustang, NV on a short mixed freight headed east below cloudy skies (figures, we travel 650 miles to get out of the rain... todays forecast for Nevada? Chance of rain/thunderstorms - but at least its still warm! (98° running across the sand and rock to get into position for this image - I completely enjoyed the air conditioning after getting back to the car)).

BNSF 122 leading BNSF 158
Title:  BNSF 122 leading BNSF 158
Description:  BNSF 122 leading BNSF 158 along the Truckee River in a fast clip. Ive never really chased a train before, but we were about to head into miles of potentially wonderful shots and I wasnt about to give up on a double-war bonnet to enhance the scenery. So a quick run back to the car.

BNSF 122 and BNSF 158
Title:  BNSF 122 and BNSF 158
Description:  BNSF 122 and BNSF 158 STOPPING?! What? Im sitting up here waiting on them and they appear to be coasting to a stop. Seriously? My first ever train chase doesnt go beyond the starting gate?

BNSF 122 and BNSF 158
Title:  BNSF 122 and BNSF 158
Description:  BNSF 122 and BNSF 158 at a complete dead stop. Using the zoom on the camera, this single line track seems to have a construction crew still spread across things just up at the bend beyond this one (behind the photographer, who in such a rush to get into proper position ahead of the train never noticed them).

BNSF 122 and BNSF 158 coming out of Reno
Title:  BNSF 122 and BNSF 158 coming out of Reno
Description:  BNSF 122 and BNSF 158 coming out of Reno, NV - and, wow - thats not really a pair of double axle war bonnets popping out from behind the embankment? One of the crew portion of "Bob-n-Crew" is taking the camera to shoot for Bob since hes stuck driving the car in Reno traffic. The extra pair of eyes keeps the train visible as we slowly gain on it heading out of Reno - Bob planning an emergency stop at some point just up the road where, oops, the track might be visible.
