BNSF 3186 - BNSF 2917 sort duty with Tri-Cities to Connell shuffle work the yard - while an odd-noise off to the left shouldve hit me as the amazing act of having caught a local coming off/headed up into the hills. |

BNSF 3186 |
Description: |
BNSF 3186 in a mixed power string - and Ive actually seen her before, but almost 260 miles away in Connell, WA - now shes in Vancouver possibly heading north. At least we get to give her one last look at the sun before normal wet-coast weather takes over again. |

Description: |
BNSF 7078 - BNSF 752 picking up speed shuffling a long string of empty double-stack well-cars north through the night rain (uh, wait, what time is it? Sorry, its ten in the morning, not ten at night - my mistake - cant see _how_ I couldve thought it was night since the camera meter was cursing me for hand holding this at that level of zoom promising me endless woe - probably just pissed about how wet the camera was getting as the clouds opened up as I stepped to the middle of the bridge.) BNSF 3186 (orange nose on sort duty, lights off to the left of the frame) - at least someone had the good sense to just sit out the downpour. |

BNSF 3186 |
Description: |
BNSF 3186 picking up a local pair of center beam flats from a lumber mill in Home Valley, WA along the Columbia River Gorge. Note this little unit gets around, having had her portrait taken in Connell, WA ( 8/20/2014 ) and Vancouver, WA ( 2/22/2015 ) relatively recently in both cases. |

BNSF 3186 - BNSF 2096 paired up behind the service station... 3186 certainly gets around. Makes you wonder about the onboard amenities compared to the other units (What? You mean a 46" plasma isnt standard equipment? Hand me another soda from the frig while youre ous of the hot-tub, will ya?) |

Description: |
BNSF 6502 - BNSF 3186 - BNSF 4058 just because I have this amazement at how big the six-axle units have gotten, so sandwiching a little Geep between road units (coupled with *blue* sky!) meant the shot had to be included. Thank you for your time. We now return you to your regularly scheduled rail imagery. |

CREX 1333 - BNSF 3186 |
Description: |
CREX 1333 - BNSF 3186 last pair of the four at the front of a northbound mixed freight - just because Im always in awe of just how huge those 4400s really are - yet as they trundle past on crossings and in the distance, you never get a chance to slow down and really take a good hard look at the monsters - so nuzzled nose-to-nose with a Geep just has to tickle something inside. (Too bad the grand designer ordered crap lighting for the day... eh, I guess its not raining, even if it is dark and miserable.) |
