BNSF 6848(with DODX flats) meets/passes BNSF 9524
Title:  BNSF 6848(with DODX flats) meets/passes BNSF 9524
Description:  BNSF 6848(with DODX flats) meets/passes BNSF 9524 leading mixed freight. Sorry for all the excess pixel in this image, but it shows the new siding leading up to the new turn-table (mast can be made out just to the left of the new light tower in the mid-distance - the mast frame of the turn-table just visible over the closest boxcar on that string of mixed freight in the sort yard). This view is looking south off the Fruit Valley-Lake Shore Drive over-pass with 39th Street over-pass marking the mid-yard point. The passing lane to the double main is the right-most track currently with BNSF 9524 and her line of mixed hodge-podge (usually its covered hoppers sitting there). All this under (wonderful) harsh sun... most of the puddles have since evaporated or drained off.

BNSF 9524
Title:  BNSF 9524
Description:  BNSF 9524 at the point of a triple with mixed freight paused in the passing lane waiting on an empty south-bound Dept of Defense flat-line... you start looking at the new paint scheme and have to wonder when the SF will fall from the BNSF moniker... will Master Buffett really take a bigger bite and merge with another rail-line... changing it to BNNSSF (or more correctly "It _was_ a merger! Look, the NS is still in there... it says right there: bNSf - although we had to correct the capitalization, so it says, BNSF." Think of the cool logo, though if they kept the NS - you could put the BN on top, drop the NS down in vertical using the N from the BN, then clip the old SF off that lead S moving horizontal again like a little stylized Z - or as this paint scheme suggests, "Eh, its just too many letters and confusing with the N-squared and S-squared - too much paint... Well just call it B - as in Big B, because now were north _and_ south, so just Buffet... I mean, Burlington. And see? We even kept part of the NS livery - see all that road dirt on the power? Right off the NS instruction sheet - well makeem white and primer dirty green.")
