And luck would have it, theyre running a couple minutes early. Halfway have to wonder if all that was on purpose to see if the out-of-shape fart wjth the camera would have a coronary after running in an attempt to at least salvage _some_ sort of shot from the afternoon. Although I have to admit, I was laughing pretty hard at my stupidity and lack-of-luck - but at least there were trains. Guess any day with trains is a good day.C |

"New" speed hand-off running local-unit grain train up and out of the Eastern Washington hills; I presume having a Columbia Basin Railway unit on the 'outbound' string allows a quick hand-off drop from the larger BNSF SD's (which also have the benefit of relatively straight / slight down-hill grade back to Pasco Yard). Compared to previous exchanges between the Class I and CBRW, this one happens relatively quick. The BNSF then shuffle into the Connell yard to time it between other priority traffic on the main before the three-to-four shuffle to reassemble the inbound grain train before heading back south to the Tri-Cities. |
