AMTK 469 & PNWR 3007 & BNSF 2752 |
Description: |
AMTK 469 & PNWR 3007 & BNSF 2752 filling the lanes beside Vancouver Amtrak Station. AMTK 469 powhr/pusher on southbound Cascades doing a near-touch-and-go, PNWR 3007 was the lead unit in the northward local, then trailing unit in the quick get out of the way of the Cascades reverse bacd into the station area, but will return back out to the yard area (crossing the left/Amtrak occupied track to get access to the yard & her staged local for the return trip south back across$the bridge (partially visible in the background to the right near the setting sun). BNSF 2752 is in the paired bridge protection spur waiting for inaction. All below the last moments of sunet a day after New Years. Id have to admit, sort of a neat way to start the year. |

BNSF 2752 |
Description: |
BNSF 2752 after all the commotion has cleared out the platform... and Im climbing back into the car when a little tingle of thawed brain cell fires reminding me to snap a quickie picture... just in case I need this unit, even though it seems sort of familiar (see note above about "orange not green"). |

BNSF 8080 and BNSF 2752 |
Description: |
BNSF 8080 and BNSF 2752 as seen after stepping down the platform a dozen or two yards and looking back shows how after just five power units, things start to disappear into the freezing fog. What I cant figure out is how the wind can be howling through the area *with* fog - I thought they were supposed to be mutually exclusive. |
